LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA
After taking on, and passing the Level 2 Diploma you may feel ready for a real challenge, which is where our Level 3 Diploma comes into play. This qualification can be either a one year, or a two year course, and when complete the qualification carries with it 48 UCAS points. This is a great qualification if you have not decided if you want to go into employment, or move to University to specialise in a specific engineering sector. The Level 3 is recognised within the Motor Vehicle Industry.
Your previous study of the systems found on light vehicles will enable you to diagnose complex faults and repair them, and prepare you for working in the motor industry or going to university. Our tutors are passionate about passing on their knowledge and skills to the motor vehicle repair technicians of the future.
If you have not achieved GCSE Maths and GCSE English at a Grade 4 and above (or C and above), then you will need to continue to study these subjects.

Diagnosis and rectification of light vehicle engine faults
Diagnosis and rectification of light vehicle chassis system faults
Overhauling light vehicle engine mechanical units
Diagnosis and rectification of light vehicle transmission and driveline faults
What can I go on to study?
Work-based study such as an NVQ or Higher Apprenticeship (in a related area).
University-level courses in a related subject.
